Romane Michez, Intern

Ramone, a 22-year-old geophysics student at the School and Observatory of Earth Sciences (EOST) in Strasbourg, France, joined the group as an intern for two months in the summer of 2024. During this internship, she assisted PhD student Amy Myers with the analogue modelling of volcanic domes.

Nadia McGlynn, Research Assistant

Nadia joined the group in June 2024 after completing a Bachelor’s in Earth and Environmental Sciences at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She created 2D mathematical models of lava domes and specifically focussed on the incorporation of fractures and their effect on stability. She focussed on adapting the Geological Strength Index for use in volcanic environments and considering how this should be best implemented in numerical models.
